Little Bernie turns Trump into big chicken

Cassidy-Bernie-Sanders-Loud-and-Clear-1200Bernie Sanders expressed his frustration with the Republican presidential nominee after Donald Trump backed out on debating Sanders in California.

After there had been at least two offers produced by television networks to host the debate and make sizable donations to charity, Donald Trump backed out. In a statement, Trump said, “Based on the undeniable fact that the Democratic nominating process is wholly rigged, and Crooked Hillary Clinton and Deborah Wasserman Schultz will likely not allow Bernie Sanders to win, yet again I will be the presumptive Republican nominee, it seems inappropriate that I would debate the 2nd place finisher. Likewise, the networks would you like to make a killing on these events and so are not proving to become too generous to charitable causes, in this case, women’s health problems. Therefore, as far as I would you like to debate Bernie Sanders – and it could be an easy payday – I am going to wait to discuss the first place finisher within the Democratic Party, probably Crooked Hillary Clinton, or whoever it could be.”

Trump has come up with two excuses for backing out. Bernie Sanders is a loser. Additionally the television networks aren’t paying enough money to any debate.

Bernie Sanders responded to Trump with a blistering statement:

In recent days, Donald Trump has said he wants to debate, he doesn’t would you like to debate, he wants to debate and, now, he doesn’t would you like to debate.

Because there are many television networks ready to carry this debate and donate funds to charity, I hope which he changes his mind once again and comes up to speed.

There is certainly a reason why in just about any national and statewide poll I am defeating Donald Trump, sometimes by vast margins and more often than not by far larger margins than Secretary Clinton. There is certainly a reason for that reality, in addition to American people must be able to notice it in advance in an excellent debate and a clash of ideas.

The truth is that Trump never had any intention of debating Bernie Sanders. The Trump campaign admitted which they were only thinking about the idea because of all of the publicity that the theory generated. Bernie Sanders continues to be calling Trump a liar for months. Therefore it should come as no surprise to him that Trump lied in regards to the debate.

The networks could offer $20 million, and Trump will say no. They can provide $100 million, and Trump would say no because he doesn’t desire to debate Bernie Sanders.

Trump is afraid to debate Sen. Sanders. Bernie Sanders more than held his very own with Hillary Clinton, while Trump struggled in debates with Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.

Donald Trump would probably get his clock cleaned by Bernie Sanders, which can be the biggest reason why the Republican nominee chickened from the debate.

Trump making promises that he might not keep

Featured Image -- 1043The truth is, Donald Trump has now made a very important policy statement. Introducing what he billed as an “energy plan,” Trump promised to “cancel the Paris Climate Plan.” Unlike so much of what originates from Trump on policy, this is certainly a genuinely clarifying moment, with potentially enormous long-term implications.

The near-term political consequences with this will — or should — be that there’s now no chance whatsoever that Bernie Sanders can do anything more on his way out that could imperil party unity in a fashion that makes a Trump victory more likely. I don’t believe Sanders has any intention to accomplish this, by the way, but this would theoretically render it an impossibility in his mind, as it dramatically advances the stakes for a somewhat smooth resolution of the Democratic primaries. Indeed, I believe it is likely Sanders will dsicover it because of this, too.

To have all the details on Trump’s full energy plan, read Brad Plumer’s piece. Trump would pursue a mostly standard-issue GOP agenda of “fewer regulations and much more fossil fuel production.” More important, with some reporters wondering what Trump’s actual views are on global climate change, he clarified them: he could be utterly indifferent to its existence and would roll back the main things we’re currently putting in place to cope with it.

Trump claimed that the present environmental challenges that the national government is trying to tackle are “phony.” He added that he would “rescind” the EPA’s Clean Power Plan, which would curb skin tightening and emissions from existing coal-fired power plants, and is key towards the U.S.’s ability to meet its commitments included in the global climate deal. He would withdraw the U.S. from participation in that global accord.

As I have reported before, there are complexities that may make it harder than expected for a Republican president — even one as masterfully competent and strong as Trump — to roll back the Clean Power Plan and/or withdraw through the Paris climate deal. However it’s possible that Trump could accomplish one or these two, which will be a significant setback.

Connectivity for a smarter world
The world-wide-web of Things (IoT) has got the potential to resolve our biggest global challenges and bring people everywhere a significantly better total well being.
This deepens the contrast between Trump and Hillary Clinton. While Clinton would not be as ambitious as Sanders in tackling the climate challenge, the unalterable fact of the matter is the fact that Clinton would preserve and implement the Clean Power Plan as well as the global climate accord, and Trump would seek to reverse them both.
